Here is Darsha in the ESS ad that was featured on the inside cover of the newest Local Sessions surf magazine

Gromsearch/VQS

 

 

In the Outer Banks last month Tyler and Darsha competed in the Rip Curl Gromsearch and the Volcom VQS. Tyler was torn between competeing in his Easterns heats and his Gromsearch ones but ended up surfing well in both. Darsha had a close final and ended up in 2nd and earned an invitation to the national final at Uppers in November. The Volcom VQS is always a fun event and unfortunately Shane couldn't miss school to come up and compete but Tyler made it through to the final and placed 5th in the juniors and Darsha ended up winning the girls division.  

Easterns

This year the ESA Eastern Surfing Championships went down in the Outer Banks of North Carolina next to Jennete's pier. Everyone from OLF was ripping, Tyler got third in Junior Mens Darsha got second in Junior Womens and Shane won Mens. Shane left early to go back to school so the fifth picture is Tyler claiming it for him during awards, it was pretty awesome. Look for recaps from Grom Search and Volcom VQS coming soon..

NSSA

                 This weekend I competed in the first NSSA event of the Mid-Atlantic season in Wrightsville Beach. It's a rare thing to have waves for a contest on the East Coast but thanks to tropical storm Leslie, the waves were actually really fun and I was able to take 1st place in Explorer Womens and Open Womens.

With hurricane season underway Tropical Storm Isaac has already sent some fun waves to most of the east coast. So our hopes are high for the next couple months to have a good run of waves after a lack luster summer. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure. Darsh

Darsha and I were recently in Southern California for a couple contests, we were both alternates for the Jr. Pro at the U.S Open but neither of us got in. Darsha also surfed in the Surfing America Prime at Del Mar Jetty and got second! Besides contests we were posted up at lowers almost the whole time watching the worlds best go insane and trying not to get runover. It was a pretty amazing trip and we also got some video from Dale Pigford. Look forward to that coming out soon.

Chris Crocker Memorial Surf Off

       Well Last weekend we had the Chris Crocker Memorial Surf Off! Shane, Darsha, and Myself all competed in it. On the Final day we had fun stomach high waves. I ended up winning 16 and under and Open Shortboard but just losing behind Shane in the Airshow. Darsha got third in the 16 and under(with the boys). Shane ended up making 300 Dollars in airshow and I made 450 dollars in open and airshow total. Overall a great contest and thanks to everyone who sponsored it and helped out!
